Coca Cola's New 'Millennial' Advert Is The Most Hilarious Thing Ever

Coke's had a whole new makeover and apparently are trying to catch the eye of the 'millennials'. Avocado flavoured coke anyone? JK, the new flavours actually look pretty good though...

According to Rafael Acevedo, the group director for Diet Coke in North America. 

“Millennials are now thirstier than ever for adventures and new experiences, and we want to be right by their side,” he said in a statement. “We’re making the brand more relatable and more authentic.”

Cool. I see what you did there. Us 'millennials' are pretty thirsty (lol) and I do love myself a Coke…

Plus, does this advert not make you wanna nod your head and clap vigorously in agreement?* 


“BECAUSE WE CAN!” (Sorry Doc.) 

Ginger Lime, Twisted Mango, Feisty Cherry, Zesty Blood Orange and a new skinnier can. That’s what we can expect. I’d say it sounds pretty Instagram ready, wouldn’t you? (In true Millennial style) 


The new Diet Cokes are already available in the US, and two of the most popular flavours (Twisted Mango and Feisty Cherry) have quietly been filtered into some UK retailers, already seeing a 3% increase in sales. The other two flavours are in the pipeline. 

The Coca-Cola team and LA Agency ‘Anomaly’ created the ‘because I can’ campaign to encourage consumers to do what they want, because that’s apparently the Millennial attitude to life. 

Aedamar Howlett, the marketing director for Coca-Cola GB and Ireland stated “They (millennials) are making very confident choices for themselves in an unapologetic way,” in an interview with Market Week. 

So, with that said, I can’t wait to grab myself a fancy, new Diet Coke and pour quite a large amount of Bacardi in it … (Ginger Lime, come at me!) 

FYI this was not an ad for Coke.
